Explicación de los distintos grosores de plumín
F, B y M son varios ejemplos de las abreviaturas que usamos para referirnos a nuestros plumines LAMY. Describen el grosor del plumín; es decir: el ancho del trazo de la pluma sobre el papel. Las únicas excepciones son los plumines A y LH; éstos están diseñados especialmente para los principiantes y los escritores zurdos, y atienden a sus necesidades específicas.
Función del material al comprar un plumín
La forma y la fortaleza del plumin determinan la sensación de escritura durante su uso: Los plumines LAMY estándard son de acero y están disponibles en varias formas, grosores y pulidos. Los plumines de oro constituyen la excepción – en este caso el material garantiza un confort de escritura de calidad máxima.
Sugerencia: Pruebe el plumín LAMY Z 53 especial. Los miembros de la comunidad LAMY consideran la sensación de escritura muy parecida a la del plumín de oro, con lo que puede evaluar de antemano si le conviene la inversion en un plumín de oro.

As far as the nib width is concerned, for example: The smaller the handwriting, the finer the nib should be. Large handwritten scripts, on the other hand, usually come out best with a broad nib.

In addition to the material (steel, stainless steel, gold), LAMY fountain pens also differ in their line width or cut: Nibs in the strengths EF, F, B, BB are just straight, nibs in the strength M have a completely rounded tip and nibs in the strengths OM, OB, OBB are bevelled at the tip and are therefore particularly suitable for an oblique writing position.
